Hong Kong News Video Production Contest
For Hindi, Nepali and Urdu Speaking Youth!

The Hong Kong Islamic Youth Association invites all South Asian youth in Hong Kong to take part in the "Hong Kong News Video Production Contest".  This initiative is supported by the Centre for Youth Research and Practice, Hong Kong Baptist University.

This event aims to encourage South Asian youngsters in Hong Kong to pay attention to local current affairs and develop skills of gathering and reporting news in their own ethnic languages.  The news videos produced by those youngsters not only assist South Asians in Hong Kong in learning about local social issues and their impacts on their communities but also allow the local Chinese community to better understand South Asian groups' perspectives on issues affairs. The ultimate goal of this project is to enhance mutual understanding between local Chinese and South Asian communities in order to facilitate ethnic integration and harmony in Hong Kong.

Targets: South Asian youth aged under 30 and residing in Hong Kong.

Video Submission Deadline: 30th April 2017 (Sunday)
